Hello, I’m Jack, a passionate and charismatic radio presenter with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. And this is Danny, my best friend and support worker. We’ve shared a strong connection since high school, and that bond has only deepened since we began working together at IPL — I joined in early 2021, and Danny came on board in 2022.
What’s the “Jack and Danny Show” all about?
At the heart of our show is a powerful message: focus on ability, not the disability. Through open, light-hearted conversations and genuine stories from our lives, we shine a spotlight on mental health, healthy living, joy, and resilience. We want listeners to feel inspired, included, and empowered to be themselves, no matter the situation they are in.
Hobbies and interests outside of IPL
Outside of IPL, my hobbies include walking my adorable golden retriever, Sheena, singing, dancing, listening to music, sports, and going to the movies. One of my greatest movies of all time is Black Swan by Darren Aronofsky.
What made you volunteer at IPL?
Before joining IPL, I started working at the Salvation Army as a local volunteer. It was fulfilling work, but I knew I was looking for something that could make me happier. And indeed, I found it behind the mic. When I first started the show, I was nervous operating the show, but over time, with my love for music, along with growing confidence and independence, helped me thrive in this industry. I never let my disability hold me back from pursuing the things I love.
If there’s one thing that I hope people take away from our show, is to always have a positive mindset and give things a go.
