Hello, My name is Brandon, and I’m proud to serve as IPL’s sound production editor and radio presenter for my vibrant morning show, airing every Tuesday to Thursday from 7 to 9 am. Since joining IPL four months ago, I’ve found genuine joy in sharing music that inspires and energises. My show is designed to be the perfect companion to your morning – whether you’re heading to work, starting a daily routine, or simply waking up to your first cup of coffee.
I feature timeless tracks that span from the 1960s to the 1980s, playing hits that spark nostalgia and positivity to help set the tone for your day.
What inspired you to volunteer at IPL?
Before becoming part of the IPL community, I worked across a variety of fields, including mechanics and computer building. I also spent years setting up karaoke systems, which deepened my love for music and audio technology. I’ve always had a strong passion for playing music – especially the guitar – and when a friend suggested I explore radio presenting at IPL, it felt like the perfect opportunity to align my interests with a greater purpose.
Since then, I have committed myself to taking on the challenge and joy of running three consistent morning shows each week, something I now find incredibly fulfilling.
Hobbies and interests outside of IPL
Similar to my current role at IPL, I enjoy producing and listening to music, often writing guitar pieces that I incorporate into my own sound production. This passion has recently motivated me to apply for TAFE studies in music and sound production, which I hope to commence this year (2025). I’m excited to continue growing both technically and creatively in this field. In my downtime, I also enjoy online gaming alone and with friends.
A few of my favourite titles include Minecraft, Destiny 2, and The Guild 2. Gaming gives me a chance to relax and connect with others in a different kind of shared experience.
